Corrosion resistance: The main components of stainless steel round pipes are iron, chromium, nickel and other elements. Chromium can form a dense chromium oxide film on the surface of the steel, which can effectively prevent further contact between oxygen, water and other substances inside the steel, thus having good corrosion resistance. For example, in some humid environments or in contact with chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and salts, stainless steel round pipes are more resistant to corrosion than ordinary carbon steel pipes.
High strength: Stainless steel has high strength and can withstand significant pressure and external forces. This enables stainless steel round pipes to be used as load-bearing structures or pipelines that can withstand high pressure in fields such as construction and mechanical manufacturing, such as high-pressure boiler pipelines and high-rise building water supply and drainage pipelines.
Good toughness: It has good toughness and is not easily broken when subjected to external impact. It can adapt to a certain degree of deformation without breaking. This feature makes stainless steel round pipes more reliable during transportation, installation, and use, and less prone to damage due to accidental collisions and other factors.
Austenitic stainless steel round tube: such as 304, 316 and other grades. 304 stainless steel round pipes have good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and low-temperature strength, and are suitable for most industrial and civilian fields, such as food processing equipment, chemical equipment, building decoration, etc. 316 stainless steel round pipes have added molybdenum element on the basis of 304, further improving their corrosion resistance, especially in chlorine containing environments, and are commonly used in marine equipment, chemical equipment and other occasions with higher requirements for corrosion resistance.
Ferritic stainless steel round tube: such as grade 430. This round tube has good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, but its strength and toughness are relatively low compared to austenitic stainless steel. It is usually used in environments that do not require high strength but require corrosion resistance, such as home appliance casings, car exhaust pipes, etc.
Martensitic stainless steel round tube: such as grade 420. It has high strength and hardness, but relatively poor corrosion resistance. Mainly used for manufacturing components such as cutting tools and bearings that require high hardness and wear resistance.
Hot rolled stainless steel round tube: made by rolling after high temperature heating. Its characteristic is relatively poor wall thickness uniformity, but high production efficiency and low cost, suitable for occasions where wall thickness accuracy is not high and large-scale production is required, such as some ordinary industrial pipelines, building structure pipes, etc.
Cold rolled stainless steel round tube: It is rolled at room temperature and processed through multiple processes. High precision wall thickness, good surface smoothness, and higher dimensional accuracy, but relatively high production costs. Commonly used in fields that require high precision, such as precision machining of mechanical parts and medical device tubing.
