Stainless steel check valve is a type of valve used to prevent the backflow of fluid medium in pipelines, widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, and power. The following is a detailed introduction about stainless steel check valves:
Working principle
Stainless steel check valves belong to automatic valves, and their opening and closing components (valve discs) automatically open or close by the force generated by the flow of the medium itself. When the medium flows downstream, the valve disc is pushed open by the pressure of the medium, and the valve opens; When the medium stops flowing or flows back, the valve disc automatically closes to prevent the medium from flowing back.
Main types
Lift check valve: The valve disc slides along the vertical centerline of the valve body, suitable for medium and small diameter pipelines. For example, the H42W series lift check valve has a nominal diameter of 15mm-200mm and a working pressure of 1.6MPa-10MPa.
Swing check valve: The valve disc rotates around the pin shaft outside the valve seat, suitable for large-diameter pipelines. For example, H44H and H44W series rotary check valves have nominal diameters of DN50-DN600 and nominal pressures of 1.6MPa-6.4MPa.
Internal thread check valve: connected by internal threads, suitable for small-diameter pipelines. For example, the H14W-16P internal thread stainless steel check valve has a working pressure of 1.6MPa and is suitable for temperatures ranging from -20 ℃ to 180 ℃.
Material and Performance
The main material of stainless steel check valves is stainless steel, which has good corrosion resistance and strength. Common stainless steel materials include 304, 316, 310S, etc. Its applicable media include water, oil, steam, acidic media, etc., with a wide temperature range. For example, the H44H and H44W series are suitable for temperatures ranging from -29 ℃ to+550 ℃.
advantage
Good sealing performance: can effectively prevent medium leakage.
Sensitive action: The valve disc closes quickly and moves sensitively.
Low fluid resistance: The flow channel is unobstructed and the fluid resistance is small.
Strong corrosion resistance: Stainless steel material gives it good corrosion resistance in various media.
Application scenarios
Stainless steel check valves are widely used in the following fields:
Petroleum and chemical industries: used to prevent medium backflow and protect equipment.
Pharmaceutical industry: used for clean pipeline systems to ensure one-way flow of media.
Electric power industry: used in steam and water systems to prevent pump and drive motor from reversing.
