type | Feature Description |
Straight Tee | The diameter of the main and branch pipes is the same, suitable for uniform diversion or merging scenarios |
reducing tee | The diameter of the branch pipe is smaller than that of the main pipe, used for flow regulation or pressure transition |
Diagonal tee (Y-shaped) | Branch pipes and main pipes are at a certain angle (usually 45 °), used in situations where space is limited or fluid resistance requirements are low |
type | Characteristics and Applicable Scenarios |
Welding tee | Through welding connection, it has strong sealing performance and is suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature systems, such as petrochemical and steam pipelines |
Threaded Tee | Internal or external thread connection, easy to install, suitable for small-diameter (≤ 4 inches) low-pressure systems, such as food equipment instrument interfaces |
Clamp tee | Plug in connection, welded fixation, high installation efficiency, commonly used in small and medium-sized systems ranging from DN6 to DN100. |
Raw material preparation
Tube blank selection: Select the appropriate tube blank based on the specifications and material requirements of the tee.
Inspection: Conduct size, appearance, and quality inspections on raw materials to ensure compliance with processing requirements.
Pre processing
Cleaning: Remove oil stains and impurities from the surface of the pipe blank.
Filling material: Fill the tube blank with appropriate materials (such as low melting point alloys, organic fillers, etc.) for the forming process.
Forming process
Hydraulic bulging
Clamping and liquid injection: Place the tube blank into a dedicated hydraulic press and inject liquid.
Squeezing and bulging: The horizontal cylinder of the hydraulic press moves synchronously in the center, squeezing the tube blank and increasing the liquid pressure inside the tube blank. The metal flows along the inner cavity of the mold under pressure, forming a branch pipe.
Molten filler: Remove the filler after forming.
Hot pressing forming
Tube blank processing: Flatten the tube blank larger than the diameter of the tee to the required size, and drill holes at the branch pipe position.
Heating and Forming: Heat the tube blank to 800-900 ℃, place it in the mold, and under pressure, radially compress the tube blank to form a branch pipe.
Follow up processing
Plastic surgery: Plastic surgery is performed on the formed tee to ensure that the size and shape meet the requirements.
Chamfering and embossing: Chamfering the end of the tee and embossing the marking.
Polishing and Cleaning: Polish the surface of the tee to remove burrs and impurities, and then clean it.
Heat treatment: According to material and process requirements, heat treatment (such as annealing) is carried out to improve material properties.
Acid washing and passivation: Acid washing and passivation treatment are carried out on tees to remove oxide scale and improve corrosion resistance.
Final inspection and packaging
Finished product inspection: Conduct size, appearance, and performance inspections on tees.
Packaging and storage: Pack and store the qualified tees in the warehouse.
